Within Prof. Riccardo Bellofiore's course on Macroeconomics (Master inEconomics and Global Markets - University of Bergamo, Italy) next monday there will be a private screening (open, for free, to all the staff and students of the University of Bergamo) of BOOM BUST BOOM directed by Monty Python's Terry Jones.
With Theo Kocken, Professor of Risk Management at the VU University in Amsterdam, the movie is entertaining and profound. L. Randall Wray, who is doing a 7 Lectures Seminar in the Macroeconomics course in these weeks, is among the economists who has been interviewed. The same Hyman P. Minsky, you'll see, found a way to be present, too ...
Frustrated by the lack of information available to the public, Jones and Kocken decided to write a documentary to explain the global economic system, and look at how things could change. The movie will have subtitles (either in English or in Italian, we'll see).
After the screening of the movie there will be Questions & Answers, and debate, with Randy Wray and Riccardo Bellofiore, may be others.
