Re: Final exam 2023-24
I hope that you are now ready for the final exam.
I am officially writing to draw your attention to several critical points pertaining to the final examination once again.
When I mark the quality of your exam scripts, I will evaluate it based on:
(1) how effectively you present, organize & develop your arguments;
(2) how persuasive your logic or reasoning is & how your arguments are in line with or supported by relevant theories if necessary; &
(3) how detailed & contextualized your explanations are.
In other words, answering my questions in a way that is overly broad, irrelevant, superficial, & vague way should be avoided at all costs because it significantly drags your final mark down. I consider that the quality of your answers will essentially reflect the quality of your preparation, the level of commitment you exhibited to the course & the depth of your understanding of what we have done during this semester. Only skimming through the lecture slides a few days before the final exam will lead to disaster.
Please make sure that you fully understand the content of all the lecture materials (including the textbook, the short cases, assigned the scholarly articles) used throughout the entire semester in greater depth.
