Nuremberg Moot Court

The International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg proudly present the annual Nuremberg Moot Court, taking place on 26-29 July 2017.

The Nuremberg Moot Court invites participants from across the globe to argue a fictitious international criminal law case before the "International Criminal Court". Dissecting both complex procedural and substantive issues of international criminal law, students are given the opportunity to apply and develop their skills and moot at the momentous Courtroom 600.

The unique location of Nuremberg allows students to practice international criminal law at its very birthplace, offering a historical educational experience. The organizers will coordinate with highly esteemed professionals in the field, such as judges, academics and other practitioners to sit on the moot court panels.

The competition consists of both written and oral phases, with each team firstly being required to submit a separate Prosecution and Defense memoranda.

We would be very pleased, if your University will be represented by a participating team.

Applications must be submitted no later than 30 April 2017 to
