Dear attending students,

I trust that this email finds you well.

This morning I just wanted to draw your great attention to the officially defined schedule for your group presentations as follows:

Schedule (WEEK 11)

19.05.2025 (Monday)      Group 1 - Group 6

20.05.2025 (Tuesday)      Group 7 - Group 13

21.05.2025 (Wednesday) Group 14 - Group 20

You definitely have plenty of time to prepare yourself for your group presentation.

I am officially writing to give you several tips on how to make your group presentation engaging & interesting for your audience.

(1) Define explicitly the message you wish to share & communicate with your audience through your group presentation;

(2) Be clear why your audience needs to know your topic. In other words, is i worth attracting enough attention from your audience;

(3) Understand the uniqueness & originality of your group presentation in terms of ideas, story lines, analytical lens & frameworks, findings, methodology (data collection etc.), presentation skills, & so forth;

(4) Be fully aware about the real meaning of analysis rather than description; &

(5) Ensure a logical structure of your entire presentation.

Last but not least, your presentation is not an individual one. Rather, it is based on your close team collaboration. If only one person presents well while others present poorly, obviously, the overall quality of your whole group presentation will be very mediocre or even below average. Therefore, it is very important that you support each other as a team in many lights.

Having explicitly emphasized, I have never ever considered you as merely master students in my course. I always see you as prospective leaders & professional individuals specializing in diverse functional areas. Therefore, I am genuinely expecting your group presentation to be a great piece of work done at a highly sophisticated level.

I wish you the best of luck & please stay hungry for your personal growth.

Best regards,

Norifumi Kawai
