The aim of a bibliography

A bibliography is needed in order:
  • To demonstrate a well-informed understanding of a subject
  • To support the arguments in favor of one’s thesis
  • To gather proofs against someone else's thesis
  • To ensure that the paper meets the standards of academic and scientific discourse

Your reader must be able to reconstruct your own reasoning and to reach the same outcome you reached, using the same data and references.

In your final bibliography, you must include all your sources, so that your reader can verify the information you provide.

You must write your references in a clear and in a complete way.
