Note styles

This family of styles is so called because it's characterized by the use of footnotes or endnotes. In-text citations are placed in footnotes o endnotes; at the end of the publication, a list of all the documents referenced in the notes (i.e., the bibliography) is included, organized alphabetically by author.

This family of styles, known also as notes and bibliography styles,  is used mainly in Social Sciences, humanities and law. 
There are different notes and bibliography styles, the most known is Chicago notes and bibliography style, or Chicago B.
