Dear students,
In collaboration with GEWISS, CREO Hackathon 2026 #SMART SPACES, SMARTER DECISIONS is getting closer.
From June 17 to 19, you will the opportunity to spend 48h to collaborate with international students and tackle real challenges proposed by GEWISS. With the mentorship of GEWISS managers and UNIBG professors, you will have the chance to transform your ideas into innovative prototypes focused on the future of lighting and the lifecycle management.
This year, participants will be able to work on two different challenges proposed by GEWISS:
- Challenge 1 — Human Centric Smart lighting
- Challenge 2 — AI For Lifecycle Gate Governance

As part of the selection process, you will be asked to create a short video presenting your project idea and explaining how you would like to develop it during the hackathon.
Before recording your video, remember that:
- Each participant must register individually, but you can indicate preferred team members
- Teams must include participants from at least two different backgrounds. If your group consists only of participants with the same background, we may match you with additional participants
- If you do not have an idea yet, you can still apply by introducing yourself, and your motivation to join the hackathon
- Your pitch should focus on ONE clear idea and explain how your solution creates value
- Don’t worry about the quality of the video, we care much more about the quality of the idea
On June 15, you will officially discover your team and begin this experience together.
Three days of innovation, collaboration, and creativity, working closely with other students and one of the most innovative companies in the area. We can’t wait to discover your ideas, creativity, and vision.
